Betty J. Goforth, 77, of Tamaroa, passed away at 11:38 A.M., Friday, April 8, 2005 at the St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
Betty was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa.
She was born July 15, 1927 at Mt. Vernon, IL, the daughter of Clifford and Pearl Irene (Brown) Zeigler.
She married Charles Wayne Goforth on January 28, 1955 at Hernando, Mississippi and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Tamaroa, one daughter - Judith Samolinski and husband James of Tamaroa, one son - Charles D. Goforth and wife Sandra of West Palm Beach, FL, one brother - Ronald Zeigler and wife Ann of Port Richie, FL, three grandsons - Chad Goforth of Florida, Matthew Goforth of Florida, and Robert Samolinski of Tamaroa, and two great grandchildren - Mary Samolinski of Tamaroa and Julie Goforth of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 11, 2005 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa with Fr. Daniel Jurek officiating.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M., Sunday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 P.M., Sunday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Tamaroa Cemetery at Tamaroa.
Friends may make memorials to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
